Ppk Study (Free, Download) - Many quality decisions are made based on the value of a single process capability or performance statistic (usually cpk or Ppk), however, few people realize that the numerical values of such statistics are not, by themselves, sufficient to accurately indicate the true quality of a measured characteristic. The conditions necessary to validate process capability/performance statistics require consideration of distribution shape, process stability, and sample size. Ppk Study provides the means to assess these requirements using a simple one-page four-panel graphical display. Ppk Study may even be used to validate small lots or short runs.

To install Ppk Study, click the Download  link above and download the PpkStudy.zip file to your Desktop. Extract the .zip file to a junk folder, then double click the setup.exe file and the software will install in a newly created C:\Program Files\Ppk Study folder. Delete the junk folder when you're done. Start Ppk Study from the Start> All Programs menu.

Rectifying Inspection Sampling Plan Evaluator (Free, Download) - This Excel application calculates the relevant probabilities for a specified rectifying inspection plan and plots the corresponding OC, Yield, AOQ, ATI, Net Income, and COPQ curves. The Net Income and COPQ curves for the specified plan are compared to the no-inspection and 100% inspection plans. This is a great tool for comparing the performance of different sampling plan designs!


Quality Management Jeopardy! - Download our Excel/VB Jeopardy game interface and play three rounds of quality management Jeopardy or create your own Jeopardy rounds. If you'd like to share your rounds, please forward them to us and we'll add them to this file with an appropriate credit. You must save this Excel file to your hard drive before you can run it. (This is a beta version of the interface, so please let us know if you find any bugs.)


GR&R Long Study Analysis (Free, Download) - This Excel application calculates the usual GR&R long study responses (EV, AV, GRR, TV, and PV) using the range method. The range method is substantially obsolete and you should seriously consider using the ANOVA method instead, but if you still want to use the range method, here it is.
